Samir K Sinha, Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam.
Sinha has replaced Paban Borthakur, who now has been given charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department.
Samir Sinha who has been working relentlessly with newly elected CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma since the Covid outbreak in Assam is a 1994 batch IAS officer.
Moreover, Sinha has been relieved from the additional charge of Principal Secretary to Health and Family welfare department and transformation and development department, stated a notification.
