Punjab-based Youtuber Paras Singh got bail from the Judicial Magistrate First Class Court in Itanagar.
Earlier, the Youtuber was arrested last month for making racial comment against Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering and the people of the state.
“The 21-year-old YouTuber has now been released from judicial custody and will go back to Ludhiana,” said Arunachal Pradesh Director General Police RP Upadhyaya.
The court allowed Paras’ plea for bail on the execution of a personal bond of Rs 10,000 and set other conditions, including not permitting him to leave the country. The YouTuber has also been told to stay away from interfering in the investigation process.
The Youtuber runs a YouTube channel which name goes by ‘Paras Official’, in one of his videos termed “Ering as a non-Indian and Arunachal Pradesh, a part of China”.
Following this incident, he was brought to Arunachal Pradesh on May 27 by a team of SIT from the state.
