The Japan Government imposed a state of emergency on Thursday to contain the rise of Covid Cases. Japan’s health ministry confirmed 896 new cases of Covid-19, Thursday as the new state of emergency was announced.

The Olympic Games which were postponed last year will be held without fans at Tokyo area venues amid covid-19, it was reported yesterday. Just two weeks before the ceremony.

Amid a recent spike in infections involving highly transmissible coronavirus variants, Japan has revised the quarantine protocol for incoming travelers; adding Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and Zambia to its list of countries.

As International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach arrives in Japan, the hashtags #BachGoHome has been trending on Twitter. Protesters say that it is dangerous that the Olympics are going to be held during a state of emergency.

It needs to mention that only 15% of the people of Japan have been fully vaccinated till now. With new mutants on the rise of Coronavirus, Japan is sticking to its firm Covid-19 guidance even as people overseas begin to ditch masks and social distancing protocol.

In such a situation protesters continue to call for the cancellation of the games. The protesters are determined to keep up with the protest until the games are canceled.
