9-year-old Climate activist from Manipur, Licypriya Kangujam has raised Rs. 47 lakhs to help India to fight against the battle of COVID-19 by importing oxygen concentrators.

She has started a fundraiser campaign called ‘India needs Oxygen Mission’ and till now she has managed to raise 47 lacs via crowdfunding to help India fight against the battle of the pandemic by importing oxygen concentrators. Licypriya had already donated a total amount of Rs.12 lakhs to an organization in Delhi to start the groundwork.

“This campaign started as a self-funded mission to help people across the country get immediate access to oxygen concentrators. I assumed a requirement of 100 pieces that I could manage,” the activist added.

Meanwhile, the oxygen concentrators will not be associated with any Government agencies or private medical colleges and hospitals. However, this will direct handover to the needy helpless poor patients to save their lives who are not getting any help or support from the Government.

Further, all the legal paperwork for donations will be shared openly for complete visibility and transparency.

It is to be mentioned that earlier, the 9-year-old climate activist from Manipur and fellow activist Aarav Seth were detained after they were found protesting outside the Parliament House in Delhi.
