International Conference on Mobility, Multilingualism in South and Southeast Asia & Impact of global ecological Change on local society begins at Cotton University today. Several chairpersons from eight different countries will participate in the 3-days ongoing program starting from today till 29th December. The discussion will be held in hybrid mode (online and in-person sessions).
The conference has been organized under endeavoring of the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Department of Higher Education under Ministry of Education Govt. of India, Pragjyotish Centre for Cultural Research (PCCR) Assam, IIT Gandhinagar, Department of Archaeology of Cotton University, School of Liberal Studies and Education and Navarachana University Vadodara with the co-operation of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) New Delhi and Social Science Research Council Brooklyn, NY, USA
The conference is being coordinated by Dr. Nishaant Choksi (IIT Gandhinagar), Dr. Manjil Hazarika(Cotton University), Phanindra Talukdar(PCCR), Dr. J. A. H. Khatri (Navrachana University), etc.
Several Chairpersons including Nanigopal Mahanta (Education Advisor, Government of Assam), Bhabesh Chandra Goswami(Vice-chancellor, Cotton University), Professor Chandan Kumar Sarma (Tezpur University) Madhur Kankana Roy(RegionalDirector, ICCR) give their valuable speech on the first day of the program on Monday.
