Himanta Biswa Sarma has been sworn in as the 15th chief minister of Assam at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra today. Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi administered oath of office and secrecy to Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sarma, who was elected leader of both the BJP and NDA Legislature Party on Sunday, had called on the Governor at Raj Bhawan and submitted a list of elected legislators owing allegiance to the NDA.
Along with Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, 13 MLAs have been also sworn-in.
The other members of the Cabinet are- Ranjeet Kr Dass, AGP President Atul Bora, UPPL’s U G Brahma, Ajanta Neog, Parimal Suklabaidya, Chandra Mohan Patowary, Ranuj Pegu, Bimal Bora, Sanjay Kishen, Jogen Mohan, Ashok Singhal and Pijush Hazarika.
