Facebook pauses the development of the Instagram kids app after receiving criticism. The app was planned to make a version of a photo-sharing app for children under 13.
Even Criticism comes from a leading publication also. On Criticizing the critic, the Instagram head Adam Mosseri said – ” “It was never meant for younger kids, but for tweens (aged 10-12),” he wrote. In a separate tweet, he added that news of the project “leaked way before we knew what it would be. People feared the worst, and we had few answers at that stage. It’s clear we need to take more time on this.”
On pausing the development of the kid app, Instagram head Adam Mosseri on Instagram said – “We are pausing “Instagram”. This was a tough decision, I still think building this experience is the right thing to do, but we want to take more time to speak with parents and experts working out how to get this right, “
