The Drugs Controller General of India has apparently given its agreement for a study on the mixing of Covaxin and Covishield vaccines in India. The goal of this study is to check if a person can be given two different vaccines shots. Vellore’s Christian Medical College will be managed the study and the clinical experiments.
Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation’s Subject Expert Committee had suggested this study on 29 July. The committee endorsed granting permission to CMC, for conducting the Phase-4 clinical trial covering 300 healthy volunteers for mixing of Covaxin and Covishield.
The Indian Council of Medical Research was different from this new study, they said mixing these two Covid vaccines obtained better safety and high immunity results.
