Congress MP and Politician Shashi Tharoor have been discharged by a Delhi Court today in Sunanda Pushkar’s death case. He was engaged under sections of subjecting a woman to cruelty and abetment to suicide in connection with his dead wife Sunanda Pushkar. Special Judge of that court Geetanjali Goel marked the order. Goel marked that order in a virtual hearing in which Shashi Tharoor was present.
On January 17, 2014, Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in a five-star hotel room in Delhi. Next year Delhi Police registered an FIR against unknown person charges of murder. Later Shashi Tharoor was booked under IPC sections 498-A and 306.
The Delhi Police had asked a Delhi court to pursue Shaahi Tharoor for provoked to suicide or different frame murder charges against him in connection with his wife’s death in the year of 2019, 31 August. Shashi Tharoor told the court this had been “seven-and-a-half years of absolute torture.” His lawyer and Senior Advocate Vikas Pahwa had denied this by stating that the cause of Pushkar’s death was so far to establish even though the police had tried to prove it in a very adventurous way. And also urged the court to bring on record Sunanda Pushkar’s tweets, which were rejected.
