Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday launched the Covid 19 Affected Livelihood Support Scheme at Imphal to provide financial assistance to the families severely affected by the Covid pandemic.

Under the scheme out of 7,943 verified applicants, 6276 applicants have been given the first installment of Rs 2500. The second installment will be disbursed within September.
The Chief Minister said that a total of 22, 336 applications were received for the scheme. The applications were invited through a proper survey at the district level, he added.
