Assam’s one of the most loved ingredients of Assamese cuisine, Kazi Nemu ( local lemon) will soon make its entry into the European market.
Taking to Twitter, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) stated that the GI-certified Assam lemon soon will be available in London. This authority comes under the Ministry of Commerce, GOI.

Known as an immunity booster, this local lemon is popular among Assamese people and Non-Assamese as well for its refreshing taste and source of Vitamin C, Kazi Nemu still remains the most well-known among the other wide range of varieties.
All these lemons are cultivated by the farmers of Tinsukiya district of Assam which will eventually boost their economy. Also, it will be great news for the agripreneurs of the region.
Meanwhile, last year, Assam exported Pumpkin to Dubai, Singapore and Hongkong.
