Weight Lifter, Olympic medalist Mirabai Chanu is honored by Union Home Minister at the 51st Foundation Day Celebration of the Bureau Of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).

Silver medalist winner in Tokyo Olympics, Mirabai Chanu was earlier appointed as ASP (Additional Superintendent of Police, Sports) by the Manipur State Government. Mirabai Chanu achieved the silver medal in Women’s 49 kg category of weight lifting in Tokyo.
The event that took place to honour the sportsperson was held in BPR&D headquarters, New Delhi on Saturday. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, and Intelligence Bureau Director Arvind Kumar were present at the event.
