Dr. S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister, will depart for Israel on Sunday for a three-day official visit, marking the first high-level interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and the new Israeli government led by Naftali Bennett.
EAM Jaishankar will meet with Israel’s senior leaders, including Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, and National Security Advisor Eyal Hulata, during his visit.
Israel’s foreign secretary Alon Ushpiz tweeted his welcome for Jaishankar. “Shubho Bijoya/Happy Dussehra to all of you, on the eve of @DrSJaishankar’s important visit to Israel. India is a strategic partner and a very close friend.”
