Arunachal Pradesh is rich for its more than 100 dialects and more than 20 languages spoken regionally. State’s CM Pema Khandu has announced that the state will now have books on 3rd language for classes six, seven, and eight.
English is the official language of Arunachal Pradesh. But most of the schools use Hindi as a second language. Now Chief Minister Pema Khandu stated that this step has been taken to preserve the regional languages of Arunachal Pradesh.
This milestone in the educational curriculum of the state was attempted by the active involvement of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Community Based Organisation (CBO).
