Karnataka state government on Friday formed an 8-members high-level committee to identify the top 75 potential players across the state for the preparation of the upcoming Paris Olympic 2024.
The selected sportspersons will be given sufficient amount of training, supplements, sports kit and so on. And They will receive rupees of 5 lakh each from the Government.
The 8 members panel is headed by Youth Empowerment & Sports minister KC Narayana Gowda along with senior officials, head of the Karnataka Olympic Association. The committee also includes former India hockey player VR Raghunath, swimming coach Nihar Ameen and ace shuttler Anup Sridhar.
This whole initiative is done under CM’s Amrith Sports Adoption programme.
