Farmers to hold their own Parliament Sessions at Jantar Mantar

Bharatiya Kishan Union (BKU) and other farmer’s organizations will hold their own Parliament Session at Jantar Mantar. On Wednesday, BKU leader Rakesh Tikat told ANI.

“Parliament is just 150 meters away from Jantar Mantar. We will hold our own Parliament sessions there,” Tikait told.

Tikait told that he will move towards the Singhu border where farmers from all the demonstration sites will gather and then will move towards Delhi to told ‘Kishan Sansad’ at Jantar Mantar.

Tikait told, “I along with eight others will leave for the Singhu Border and then will go to Jantar Mantar. We will hold ‘Kishan Sansad’ at Jantar Mantar and will monitor the parliament proceedings.”

As the Monsoon Session of the Parliament is going on, the farmers under the leadership of various Farmer organizations will sit in Jantar Mantar to protest against the new farm laws. Farmers will protest from 11 am to 5 pm daily.

Farmers across the country have been protesting against the new farm laws since November 2020. Various farmer’s organizations including BKU, Samyukt Kishan Morcha, Kishan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, etc are protesting on the different borders of the National Capital since November, 26 last year.
